Kansas Wine, Cans o’ Swine

So, continuing with the retro, I’m finally releasing all of our pics from the ill-fated Kansas tour from last summer. It was hot, it was cramped. We had a “new” van and it died within 10 days. Yep. When it finally died, Veller said it sounded like there was a bag of spoons in the engine. C’est la vie.

We found this butterfly still twitching in the grill of the van after we broke down. We\'re not sure which was more sad, the butterfly maiming, or the fact that we would not be able to get home.

The gas station we pushed the van to wouldn\'t sell us beer (Sunday in the sticks), so we wandered around and found this guy. He also did not sell us beer.

This is the dude who fed us that night.

We ended up being saved by Gracie Lou who rented a van at O’Hare and drove it 200 miles south to come and rescue us. We had to leave Veller and Russ behind because they wouldn’t fit. Good times.

Retroactive.

OK- so this is way old, but hey- we’re playin’ catch up!

This photo is from our first show with new (not so new anymore) drummer, D.Fine. We played a Battle of the Bands in Lemont, IL and there were roughly 3,569 bands competing that night. We were 2nd place. We also met Matt’s aunt Jo-Jo from Maui that night and had a blast. Then we ate at Denny’s. Here’s a photo from when we had to wait a bunch of hours for the club to open.

Here we go-
